Patronage of AGH UST Rector

Principles of granting Honorary Patronage of AGH UST Rector

1. Honorary Patronage of AGH UST Rector is an honorary distinction, emphasising a special character and significance of the project or initiative. The distinction is mainly reserved for important scientific and cultural events of particular importance and significance to the university, as well as significance and importance for Polish science and culture.
 

2. Granting Honorary Patronage of AGH UST Rector does not mean a declaration of financial or organisational support. 

3. Honorary Patronage of AGH UST Rector does not encompass events whose sole organiser is the AGH University of Science and Technology in Krakow.  

4. In the case of regularly-organised events, it is necessary to apply for Honorary Patronage of AGH UST Rector on each occasion. 

5. A negative decision related to granting Honorary Patronage of AGH UST Rector is final and there is no appeal procedure.  

6. In some particular cases, Rector has the right to invalidate the decision of granting Honorary Patronage. 

7. All matters related to Honorary Patronage are dealt with by the Centre for Communication and Marketing (more information: phone no. +48 12 617 39 47). 

8. A completed application form for Honorary Patronage, i.e. Appendix no. 1 to the Principles of Granting Honorary Patronage of AGH UST Rector, must be submitted no later than four weeks prior to the planned date of an event to the Centre for Communication and Marketing:  

  • a. by email sent to: patronat@agh.edu.pl; 
  • b. by letter sent to:  AGH University of Science and Technology in Krakow 
    Centre for Communication and Marketing
    al. A. Mickiewicza 30, building A-0, 1st floor, room 112 
    30-059 Krakow, Poland;  
  • c. in person at the premises of the Centre for Communication and Marketing (building A-0, 1st floor, room 112). 

 

9. An organiser that has been granted Honorary Patronage of AGH UST Rector must:  

  • a. inform the participants of the event that it is held under the Honorary Patronage of AGH UST Rector;  
  • b. publish information about the Honorary Patronage of AGH UST Rector over a given event in all promotional and information materials concerning the event, including information passed on to the media; 
  • c. label appropriately all documents, as well as promotional, advertising and information materials (invitations, posters, leaflets, and others). AGH UST emblem can be downloaded here
  • d. place on the organiser’s website a link to the AGH UST website (www.agh.edu.pl); 
  • e. email detailed information to patronat@agh.edu.pl about the planned programme of the event at least 14 days prior to its beginning for the purpose of potential using the information on the website;  
  • f. deliver to the Centre for Communication and Marketing invitations to events where guest passes or tickets are required.
